Italian charm links are connected by an internal spring mechanism.

To take apart: Hold two adjacent links firmly, press them slightly together, and slide them apart laterally (sideways) to unhook the clasp.

To add a link: Hook the new charm's hook into the open slot of an existing link and slide it back into place until it clicks closed.

Tip: Using a charm tool or a blunt tool (like the edge of a small coin) can help slide open the spring mechanism easily
